News firms funded by the Russian government had their advertising tools and features restricted by Google.
The company wrote in a post that they are committed to complying with all sanctions requirements.
The company said that it was limited in the country for people using banks that were not approved by the government. There is no restriction on the use of the pay service in Russia.
Most of the company's services, like Search, Maps and YouTube, are currently available in Russia.
Nike has stopped sales in Russia. Purchases on the company's website and app were unavailable in Russia because the firm could not guarantee delivery of goods to the country.
Container shipping to and from the country was suspended on Tuesday by the biggest shipping firms in the world. The UK has banned ships from Russia.
Russia supplies a sixth of the world's commodities so it will be cut off from a significant part of shipping trade.
