Facebook Whistleblower Frances Haugen Testifies At Senate Hearing On Big Tech

The first lady of the United States will be at the first official State of the Union address.

A trove of internal Facebook documents was leaked to The Wall Street Journal by a former product manager. She testified before Congress that Facebook misled the public about the safety of children and the efficacy of its artificial intelligence systems as a role in spreading divisive and extreme messages.

The White House said that Haugen was a specialist in algorithmic product management andadvocated for more humanity and transparency in the tech and social media industry.

During his first State of the Union, Biden is expected to discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine, inflation, and global supply issues. Oksana Markarova, the US ambassador to Ukraine, and Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger will be at the event.
