A cargo ship that was carrying thousands of luxury cars sank in the Azores two weeks after it caught fire.
Around 4,000 cars were being transported on the ship, named Felicity Ace.
The vessel was on its way to Rhode Island in the United States when it caught fire.
The crew members were evacuated when the fire broke out.
The captain of the nearest port on the island of Faial, Joao Mendes Cabecas, told the news agency that there were fears that the fuel tanks could be damaged while the vessel lies at the bottom of the Atlantic.
The 22 crew members were taken to a hotel by the navy, four merchant ships and the Portuguese Air Force after the fire was put out.
The damage to the vehicles was covered by insurance, which could cost around $150 million, according to Volkswagen.
The ship had over a thousand models of cars onboard, according to the two companies.
The customer said his car was on the abandoned ship.
He said that his had been rearranged.
