The shipment of Starlink terminals to Ukraine has arrived under mysterious circumstances.

The billionaire pledged to send Starlink terminals to the besieged after the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine criticized him for not doing enough to help.

Musk replied to Fedorov, saying that the Starlink service is active in Ukraine.

It didn't take long, as the Starlink terminals showed up on Monday less than three days later, with Federov announcing the arrival via Twitter.

Speedy Connection

Musk and SpaceX are not saying much about how they were able to get a shipment of terminals through the country, which is currently undergoing a full-scale military invasion by Russia. It seems like even the billionaire is not sure how it happened.

Musk told SpaceNews that he was thinking the same thing. It's strange that the company can do this.

It's strange indeed. There is no word on how many terminals were sent. Based on the picture, we think the truck was carrying between 200 and 1000 terminals.

It is something, but it is not very many for a country with 40 million people. Maybe there were more trucks.

Military and political leaders will likely get priority access to the terminals, though there is no information yet on who will get access to them. It's not clear how a Ukrainian engineer named Oleg Kutkov was able to get access to the internet via a terminal.

As reports come in about Russian forces allegedly targeting communications infrastructure, it is hoped that the internet will be provided to Ukrainian forces and its civilians.
