The new fast charging technology from Oppo is twelve times faster than the iPhone 13 lineup.
On the first day of the Mobile World Congress, Oppo showcased a range of technologies, including its latest Find X5 series of smartphones, the MariSilicon X custom image processor, a retractable camera system, and more. Two new fast charging technologies were announced by Oppo.
The first, which is called the "150W Super VoOC flash charge", features charge pumps and can charge a device with a 4,500 mAh battery to 50 percent in five minutes and deliver a full charge in just 15 minutes. The Find X5 lineup includes the Battery Health Engine, which can keep the battery at 80 percent of its original capacity after as many as 1,600 charge cycles, double the industry standard. In the second quarter of 2022, Oppo will introduce 150W Super VoOC.
The company has a technology that can charge a battery to 100 percent in nine minutes. Realme's 150W charging technology is the fastest-ever charging technology of its kind.
A control chip that monitors voltage, current, and temperature is one of the five safety protection measures that Oppo says the 240W SUPERVOOC charging system has. The first devices with the power will not be released until later.
The iPhone 13 Pro is able to support up to 23W and the mini is able to support 20W. Peak power for the entire charging cycle is not possible for the ios 13 models.
It is possible to charge an 200C; iPhone 13 from zero to 50 percent in half an hour, and fully charge in about two hours, which is significantly slower than either of the Oppo's. Last week, Oppo announced plans to compete with Apple on a global scale with a wave of premium devices, starting with the Find X5 models.
