A growing number of major companies like Disney and Shell are taking action to support Ukraine against Russia, according to a new Morning Consult poll.

75% of U.S. adults support companies cutting ties with Russia and stopping business dealings there, including by no longer conducting business with Russian companies or other entities.

Companies are closing down factories or office locations in Russia.

Companies that help Americans in Ukraine return home or help their employees who live there are supported by the majority of respondents.

A majority of respondents support companies making a statement in support of Ukraine, but only 8% want companies to maintain business ties with Russia.

42% of Americans want severed business ties with Russia to be temporary, while 37% want them to cut ties permanently.

According to the poll, 4% of respondents want companies to maintain their business in Russia and not speak out in favor of Ukraine.

According to Morning Consult, 75% of sports fans back sports entities that cut ties with Russia, and 49% would boycott their favorite team if it was sponsored by a company with ties to Russia. Only 21% would continue to support the team.

A number of major corporations have taken steps to cut ties with Russia in the last few days, following the economic sanctions on Moscow. Disney will stop releasing films in Russia because of the sanctions, as well as oil companies and credit card companies that have stopped doing business with Russian banks. Other companies have taken steps to aid Ukrainians, with AirBnB announcing it would provide free short-term housing for 100,000 Ukrainian refugees, Etsy canceling all fee balances for Ukrainian sellers, and Verizon waiving charges within Ukraine and on calls to and from the country.
