Ukraine crisis: Shakhtar Donetsk evacuate Brazilian players to Romania

The Brazilian players of Shakhtar were evacuated to Romania.

12 players were moved away from the conflict by the Ukrainian premier league club.

Foreign players have been moved from Ukraine by SK Dnipro-1, Shakhtar said.

Shakhtar thanked everyone who helped in the process.

The players were evacuated thanks to the personal assistance of the Uefa president, the Ukrainian Football Association President and the Moldovan Football Federation President.

Shakhtar have not played a game since December because of the winter break and the suspension of football because of the Russian invasion.

Russia's national and club teams were suspended from all competition on Monday.

Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine on Thursday and fighting is set to continue for a sixth day.
