Once the Los Angeles Lakers waive Jordan, he could find a new home.

When Jordan hits the market, the Philadelphia 76ers will be aggressive in pursuing him. If he clears waivers, they will either put in a waiver claim for him or wait to sign him as a free agent.

Jordan had a hard time getting a consistent role in the rotation in his first season with the Lakers. He played in a career-low 12.8 minutes in 32 games with 19 starts and averaged 4.1 points and 5.4 rebound.

Jordan was once one of the top centers in the NBA. He earned a trip to the All-Star Game in the last year of his career and is a three-time All-NBA selection and two-time All-Defensive selection.

The All-Star center is one of the favorites to win the NBA's Most Valuable Player award this season. He leads the NBA with 29.8 points per game while adding 11.1 rebound and 4.4 assists. Philadelphia is third in the Eastern Conference with a 37-23 record and has won five of its last six games.

Adding Jordan would give the team some much-needed depth at the center position. Jordan was one of the best pick-and-roll players in the NBA. He would have the chance to return to his old form if he were to play with James Harden.

In the two games, Harden averaged 28 points, nine rebound and 14 assists, as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks. Philadelphia will play the Knicks again.
