Musk promised to bring the Starlink terminals to Ukraine.

According to a report from monitoring group Netblocks, internet service in Ukraine has been experiencing significant disruptions as a war rages in the country. After promising on social media that he would provide internet access to Ukraine, Musk has done just that.

On Monday, Mykhailo Fedorov, the vice prime minister and the country's minister of digital transformation, shared a photo of a bunch of additional terminals that can be used to access the Starlink satellite.

The Starlink satellite internet service is active in Ukraine with more terminals on the way, according to Musk.

On Saturday, Fedorov asked Musk for help on the social media site.

@elonmusk, while you try to colonize Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand.February 26, 2022

While you try to colonize Mars, Russia is trying to occupy Ukraine. Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people. Fedorov asked for Starlink stations for Ukraine and to address sane Russians.

Musk said that he was sending more Starlink tech to the country after it activated its internet service. Musk wrote that there were more terminals en route.

Fedorov shared the image of the newly-arrived terminals in Ukraine just two days later.

Here is Starlink. Musk replied "You are most welcome" after Fedorov thanked him.

Musk is making good on his promise in more ways than one. There are reports that the technology is up and running.

Success! Oleg Kutkov stated that the Starlink is working in Kyiv. They were connected to the internet with download speeds of 136.76 Mbps and upload speeds of 23.93 Mbps, and they were able to use their phone to access the internet.

One of the areas in the country where Russian attacks have been reported is the city of Kyiv, home to 2.8 million people. According to the New York Times, the city of Kyiv has been bombarded by missiles.

The successful connection in Kyiv was praised by Jonathan McDowell on the social networking site. The Starlink satellites provide internet independent of local infrastructure. McDowell said that he was proud of SpaceX.

The Starlink internet service is designed to provide high-speed broadband internet access to remote areas around the globe that may lack such infrastructure. This is achieved through a megaconstellation of Starlink internet satellites, which have been routinely launching to low Earth orbit. There are currently over 2,000 Starlink satellites in space and the company has clearance to launch up to 12,000 of them.

On Friday, February 25th, a new set of 50 Starlink satellites were lofted into the sky by the company to reestablish communications and provide internet access free-of-charge to those living on the island of Tonga in the Pacific Ocean. The next set of Starlink satellites will be launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
