Think it over, Zion!

There has been a lot of speculation about Zion's future because of his absence from the New Orleans Pelicans. On First Take, Redick said that he had addressed Zion's lack of professionalism in front of the team when he was still playing.

Stephen A. Smith said that Zion was praying for the New York Knicks to get the No. 1 overall pick.

There is evidence to support the idea that we should put a lot of stock in things that Stephen A. says he heard from someone else. Zion was asked what it was like to play in Madison Square Garden after the New York Knicks played the New Orleans Pelicans. I enjoy playing here. This is my first time in the pros, and I played here in college. Zion grinned from ear to ear and said that the atmosphere was amazing.

The fact that Zion wasn't included in the list of notable players on the team, combined with the fact that he didn't reach out to the player he was traded for, combined with the fact that the team sent out emails promoting their season tickets.

If he wants to leave New Orleans for New York, then why? The situation with the basketball team is pretty good. Brandon is only 24 years old and has already made an all-star team in his young career. A good center who has started shooting and making more threes, clearing up the paint for a player like Zion, is Jonas Valan. They just traded for a player with an average of 29 points per game.

This is a pretty good roster despite being 11th in the conference. Their best player has only played 85 games in three seasons. If he played a full season, this is easily a playoff team. College or professional basketball players have a short time to play and should be able to make the most of it. Whether that means transferring to a school where they will get more playing time or leaving the team that drafted them in free agency because they feel like it. Why leave this for the Knicks?

The Knicks are always bad if you are new to basketball. Every once in a while, the team's owner, James Dolan, will do something like not letting Spike Lee use his usual entrance and then an onlooking witch will cast a spell and make the team terrible for another year to teach him a lesson, which he never learns. The Knicks are 12th in the Eastern conference and have a similar record to the Pelicans. The Eastern Conference is the better of the two conferences for the first time in my life and I don't think Zion joining would lead to immediate success. I'm serious. Check the results. I don't know who is going to win the first round Eastern conference playoff series. I'm pretty sure the Warriors will get the job done.

Zion wants to go to a worse team. Maybe he has grievances with the front office. They seem to be doing a good job. The players were acquired via trade. The worst look for the front office is that they pass on Ja Morant.

Maybe the fact that Zion is on his third head coach in three years is indicative of some underlying chaos, but I don't think they would make a change that big without consulting their first overall pick.

Maybe it's the fact that Zion's two college teammates, both of whom play for the Knicks, are also teammates. Maybe he misses his friends and that's why he ends this article. Sorry boys, who hasn't been there? Can't stay up tonight. He was only in college for a year and it was difficult to turn in his textbooks for tens of millions of dollars.

Zion, I don't want to be the one to tell you this, but we all have to grow up sooner or later. I think it was Jay Gatsby who said, "Can't repeat the past?" He was shot in a pool and a fictional character, so what does he know? You're going to make tons of new friends in New Orleans, even though the future is scary. If you start with a welcome text, you will never know if you will be best friend or not.
