The hiring of Art Briles as Grambling State football coach was criticized because of the sexual assault allegations that led to an independent investigation and the firing of Briles.
Jackson wrote that the hiring of Briles was a testament to forgiveness, redemption and enlightenment in a statement that was released on Monday.
