Rep. Lauren Boebert says the US and Canada are in need of liberation like Ukraine

The US and Canada need to be liberated like Ukraine, according to Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert.

We have neighbors to the north who need freedom and need to be liberated, and we need that right here at home as well.

Zelensky promised to remain in Kyiv to face the Russian invasion. He refused to be evacuated from the city, saying that he needed bullets, not a ride.

Representatives for the congresswoman did not immediately respond to a request for comment on what Boebert meant by "liberated" in this context.

The lawmaker is a strong advocate of gun ownership. She sat in front of a bookshelf filled with guns at a virtual House committee meeting last February.

Boebert supported the Freedom Convoy, a movement sparked by thousands of truck drivers in Canada who went to the country's capital to protest vaccine mandates.

The Freedom Convoy is a representation of a people's desire for freedom, something that may have been lost to decadence. Boebert said he was glad to see the will to fight for liberty was still alive.
