Great Plains adds a bit of romance to its safaris

The Great Plains organization has created a collection of romantic experiences at the ol Donjo Lodge and Mara Plains camps.

The experiences were designed by the husband and wife duo of Dereck and Beverly Joubert. Sharing a spiritual journey with someone you love really sets the tone for life, said Dereck Joubert.

When you stay at ol Donyo Lodge, you can get a bush breakfast on horseback. This is a great place to pop an all- important question for adventurous couples and is available for riders of novice to advanced levels.

Couples can enjoy spa treatments together from the privacy of their own suite at all Great Plains Kenya Reserve Collection camps. The Out of Africa Couples Treatment is designed to deep clean and refresh tired skin. The treatment begins with a full-body scrub followed by a body balm massage that leaves skin feeling soft and supple. Animals such as elephants and giraffes can be seen as couples enjoy the renewing spa treatment.

Couples can sleep under the stars in their own star bed on the roof of their suite at Donyo Lodge.

The Honeymoon Suite island at Mara Plains Camp is built on a peninsula island and only accessible via a suspension bridge for couples looking for the ultimate privacy.
