Since its release, the Korean drama Squid Game has rewritten TV history, becoming the most popular series in the history of NFLX and winning multiple awards. The series was written by director Hwang Dong-hyuk and follows a group of desperate individuals as they compete for a cash prize while playing a run of potentially deadly children's games.

The first non-English series to be nominated for an award was Squid Game.

The drama took home three top prizes. Lee won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male actor in a drama series.

Jung Ho-yeon won an award for his performance in a drama series. Jung yelled out her thanks and told them she loved them. The model's debut drama is called Squid Game.

The award for Outstanding Performance by an ensemble in a drama series went to Succession.

Along with Lee and Jung, other cast members attended the ceremony.

Oh-Young-su is the first Korean actor to win a Golden Globe.

At the People's Choice Awards, Squid Game received a Bingeworthy Show of the Year award.
