TOP STORY: Miami set plan for PSG's Messi

Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas thinks that David Beckham's links with Lionel Messi could help the MLS side lure the Argentina star to Florida.

Goal is reporting that the Major League Soccer side will attempt to bring Messi to the DRV-PNK Stadium either this or next summer.

Before entering the world of MLS club ownership, Beckham finished his stellar career at Paris Saint-Germain. After previous signings such as strikers Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi, Miami hopes to convince Messi to join, although the latter will no longer be playing at Miami.

Seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi has a two-year deal in the French capital with the option of a third year next summer. He has only scored seven times in 23 appearances since his switch from Barcelona last year.

Messi has expressed interest in playing in MLS.

PAPER GOSSIP

Manchester United and Manchester City are both interested in signing Harry Kane in the summer. The arrival of Mauricio Pochettino at Old United will help facilitate the move for the England captain, according to a report. After Spurs refused to transfer Kane, City gave up on signing him and instead focused on Haaland.

According to the Sun, both Manchester City and Chelsea are interested in signing Jimoh. The 15-year-old England youth international looked set to join the Blues at the end of the season, but City chiefs are now confident that they can compete for his signature. City are hoping they can steal a march on signing the young player because of the off-field problems at the club.

Spanish outlet Marca has been putting two and two together and concluding that Barcelona star Gavi could be on his way to Real Madrid. The teenager has established himself in the first team at Barcelona, but the club and player are yet to agree on a new contract. The agent of the Spain international, Ivan de la Pea, has been seen at Real Madrid's offices in the last few days sparking speculation of a possible switch to Los Blancos.

The disappointing back-to-back draws against Salernitana and Udinese have focused the minds at AC Milan, and the club are trying to sign coveted defender Sven Botman in an attempt to fend off interest from Spurs and Newcastle. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are trying to close a deal for the Lille player before the end of the season.

Calciomercato suggests that the top priority for the Internazionale is Davide Frattesi. Simone Inzaghi wants to strengthen his midfield for the 2022-23 season, and Inter chief Giuseppe Marotta is in talks with Giovanni Carnevali about the switch. The fee is believed to be the only major sticking point in the negotiations, and Marotta will return to try and get the deal done before the end of the season. Fratessi has two goals and two assists.
