According to The Herald, the plane was based at the Hostomel Airport. The airfield was hit by missiles before the attack, according to the paper.

Aviation24.be reported a source had confirmed the aircraft was in Georgia.

Insider was unable to independently verify the claims.

Illia Ponomarenko, a defense reporter for the Kyiv Independent, said on Sunday that the aircraft was ruined by a Russian attack.

Radio Liberty shared a satellite picture that it claimed showed the aircraft in flames.

The aircraft was used to transport large amounts of humanitarian aid around the world. It was used to transfer the Soviet craft.

Russian flights have been banned from many European countries as a result of the sanctions imposed by the EU and the US.
