The Chinese manufacturer best known for its lineup of smart TVs has announced five new affordable phones. The five new phones are focused on Europe, and their starting prices range from 139 to 249.
The only phone in the new lineup that supports 5G is the TCL 30 5G. It has a 6.7-inch display with a 13-megapixel selfie camera and a trio of cameras around the back, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. When it goes on sale in Europe in April, it will be priced at €249.
Next up are the tcl 30 plus and tcl 30. Both have the same 6.7-inch display and triple camera setup as the TCL 30 5G, but they are not 5G capable. The lower-resolution 8-megapixel selfie camera is found on the TCL 30. Both are powered by a processor and batteries, and are available in Europe.
The TCL 30 E has a less powerful Helio G25 processor and smaller displays than the other two models. The lower-cost phones still include 5,000mAh batteries, use a different type of connection, and will ship with the latest version of the operating system. The 30 E will be available in Europe in April.
When it announced its first two 30 Series phones in January, it said that it would launch a total of eight phones around the world over the course of four years. Seven of the eight phones are now public, with only a successor to last year's TCL 20 Pro still unknown.
