President Zelensky said on Sunday that Ukraine is establishing an International Legion for foreigners who want to fight against Russia.
The statement on the presidential website said that anyone who wants to join the defense of Ukraine, Europe and the world can come and fight side by side with the Ukrainians against the Russian war criminals.
The Regulations on Military Service in the Armed Forces by Foreigners and Stateless Persons were approved in 2016
The International Legion for the Territorial Defense of Ukraine is being formed by foreigners. The statement said there was no greater contribution you could make for the sake of peace.
Zelensky said in his statement that Russia's invasion was the beginning of a war against Europe.
Zelensky told everyone who wanted to join him in defending the country to come over. We are going to give you weapons. How this can be done will be announced very soon. Everyone who is defending Ukraine is a hero.

Illia Ponomarenko, a reporter for the Kyiv Independent, said on Saturday that he had received over 100 emails from foreigners wanting to join the fight.

Ukrainians have been taking up arms to fight against Russian forces.
