Donald Trump repeatedly told attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference that he was running again during his speech Saturday night.

We did it twice. He boasted at one point that they would do it again.

Trump referred to his wife as the future first lady, and repeatedly referred to a vague agenda once Republicans regained power.

He told those packed into a chilly ballroom that they were a long way from being done.

Along the way, Trump praised scandal-plagued GOP Reps. Matt Gaetz of Florida, who is under federal investigation for potential sex trafficking, and Marjorie Taylor of Georgia, who spent Saturday trying to contain the backlash from her surprise appearance Friday night at a white nationalist event organized

Trump gave shout-outs to GOP senators who made speeches at the CPAC, including Rick Scott of Florida, Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, and John Kennedy of Louisiana.

The crowd erupted when they heard Kennedy's name, prompting Trump to congratulate the first-term lawmaker and then make a jab at Cassidy.

Trump lambasted Cassidy from the stage. Senate Minority LeaderMitch McConnell, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Mark Zuckerberg were all lashed out at by him.

The CPAC crowd was delighted to have him back in his element and dutifully played along. They booed when Trump mentioned McConnell. They chanted "lock her up!" when Trump mentioned Clinton.

The whole room cheered after Trump said that he stood as the only president of the 21st century who did not see Russia invade another country.
