Draymond Green practiced for the first time since early January on Saturday.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said it was great to have his energy back. That is a positive step for him and we will go from here.

Green did shooting drills, 5-on-1 conditioning, and a lot of other drill work on Saturday.

Green said that his progress has been tremendous.

Green was unable to do any basketball activities for the first half of his break. He spent most of his time in the weight room.

Green said that he is stronger than he has ever been in his life. I worked in the weight room for five hours a day for six weeks.

Green was cleared for basketball activity in late January, but it had been individual work until Saturday.

The timetable for his return is not fixed. He said at the All-Star Game on Sunday that it would be another three to four weeks before he was back.

Green said it could take five weeks to get back. It is not a set thing.

It could be like my conditioning is at a level, my strength is at a level, and my explosiveness is at a level where you can go back out there.

Green and the training staff are keeping an eye on three things: conditioning, strength and explosiveness. There is no way to know when those aspects will be ready.

Green wants to play in at least a few of the remaining games.

As soon as I feel like I can get back out there and get my feet under me before the playoffs, great, Green said. I will make do if it is 10. If it is five, five is going to have to work.

James Wiseman, the other injured big man, has been ramping up his practices after tearing a meniscus last April.

Since the All-Star break, he has been a full participant in two practices and a scrimmage. He worked for the G League Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday.

It is not clear if he will travel with the Warriors on their upcoming road trip, or if he will stay in the Bay Area to get more individual work.
