A leading alt-right figure who has questioned the existence of the Holocaust, criticized interracial marriage, and praised Jim Crow-era segregation made a surprise appearance at a far-right conference.

According to footage of the event, which was called the American First Political Action Conference, Greene said to a chorus of applause that he was thrilled to be here.

The Anti-Defamation League has labeled a well-known white supremacist pundit.

The ADL wrote in a post previewing the event that it shows the increasing acceptance of extreme views by those who used to identify with the conservative movement.

The views that Fuentes has expressed have been called out as antisemitic or racist. The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh was called a race traitor and a slur after he condemned the El Paso shooter. Authorities said the shooter said he targeted Latinos.

The next big frontier for populist and conservative is discussing Jewish Power. I don't think they will broach that one!

It is an anti-Semitic trope to portray Jewish people as being in control of some secret power. The Great Replacement Theory is a racist conspiracy theory that people of color are trying to replace white populations.

The ADL previously said that like others in the alt-right, Fuentes sometimes pleads ignorance by arguing his bigoted views are made in jest.

He argued that Jim Crow was better for Black people than segregation.

They had to go to different schools to drink from the different water fountain. The water fountain in that famous picture was worse. Who cares? Drink from the water fountain if you want to. It is the same as water. It was bad, but who cares? It is better for them and better for us. It is better in general.

When she questioned whether 9/11 was real, she compared mask mandates to the Holocaust. She visited the US Holocaust Memorial Museum after apologizing.

A representative for Greene did not respond to the request for comment.
