Lowe: Nets running out of time to turn season around (2:13)

The Nets have the potential to make the NBA finals. (2:13)

1:10 PM ET

Steve Nash, the Nets' coach, said that Kevin Durant will return to the floor at some point in the next week.

Nash said after the shootaround that every day was closer to the game. He will be back for sure in the next week. It could be the whole week, barring any setbacks.

Goran Dragic will make his Nets debut in the game against the Bucks.

Nash had hoped that he would be back early next week, but the Nets are hesitant to say when he will return.

Nash said that Kevin has been a great healer throughout his career and that the first thing to do is to get him back healthy. He adds a lot to our team on both ends of the floor, one of the greatest scorers of all time. He helps us defensively and gives us more size and length. He is a big miss for us, and whenever he gets back, he will impact our team.

The Toronto Raptors have not played Dragic in a while.

We are going to see how it goes, but I am happy to finally step on the court.

It's not clear when Ben Simmons will play his first game with the Nets. Simmons, who was acquired at the trade deadline in a deal that sent James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers, is traveling with the team but is only doing individual work.

Simmons needs to be comfortable before he starts working out at a different level.

Nash said that he was not going to high intensity yet.
