Markelle Fultz, the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, will return to action on Monday, more than a year after he tore his left knee.
Fultz was injured when his left knee buckled without contact during a game against Cleveland. He was in pain on the floor for a while before he was helped into a wheelchair.
He practiced again in December.
Fultz signed a three-year extension in December of 2020. Prior to the injury, he had been averaging a career-best 14 points, along with 3.6 rebound and 6.1 assists.
He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers as part of their lengthy rebuild but struggled for years with a shoulder injury that made it difficult to feel the right arm and hand. He was traded to the Magic in February.
