There was no drama this time.

The Mexican Open final will be played by Nadal and Norrie, after Nadal defeated Medvedev 6-3, 6-3 in a repeat of the Australian Open final.

A month ago in Australia, the 35-year-old Nadal came from two sets down to win his 21st Grand Slam singles title.

Nadal said that every match is different. Everything changes. It was a different game, with a very exciting second set, where I made very few mistakes.

Nadal will try to win his fourth title of the season in Acapulco, where he is a fan favorite.

After what happened in Australia, this week means a lot to Nadal. That means that I am okay mentally, and that is important because there is a tough final tomorrow.

It has been a long career with more success than I could have imagined. I appreciate the gift of being here and playing here. I am thankful for the opportunities.

The first set lasted 47 minutes and Nadal broke in the fourth game.

In the fifth game of the second set, he missed seven break points, but he played better in the second set.

I don't think I played well today, I was not good enough to play against him. There is not a thing that I can take from this. I have to change everything I did today. I felt like I was missing some energy today.

Norrie continued his hot streak in February by defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas.

After losing all four of his matches in January, Norrie is 10-1 in February and arrived in Mexico after winning the third title of his career.

The biggest win of Norrie's career was when he beat the fourth-ranked player in the world.

Norrie said that he served well. It is one of my best victories. I hope we can keep the run going.

Norrie had service breaks in both the first and second set.

In the Lyon semifinals in 2021, Norrie defeated Dominic Thiem, who was fourth in the rankings.
