Miami Heat guard Victor Oladipo, who has been out since April 8, 2021, after having surgery on his right thigh, could return to the lineup in March.

Adrian Wojnarowski gave the report on SportsCenter.

Victor Oladipo is on a road trip. He had two quad tendon surgeries. He recovered from the second one. I'm told that there's hope that he could be back within two weeks. Maybe the second week of March.

The former Indiana star has been in the NBA for three years. For his career, the two-time All-Star has averaged 17 points, 4.5 rebound and 4.0 assists.

The Indiana Pacers had a player named an All-Star in each of the last two years. Oladipo had a quad injury in January and had surgery and an absence from the court until January 2020.

In the following year, Indiana traded Oladipo to the Houston Rockets in a four-team deal. Houston sent Oladipo to Miami. He played four games for the Heat in 2020-21 and averaged 12.0 points, 3.5 rebound and 3.5 assists.

He had his second surgery on the quad last May. He agreed to a one-year deal in the off-season.

He will return to a team that is second in the Eastern Conference with a 38-21 record despite a number of absences due to injury or the league's health and safety protocols. Tyler Herro has missed 57 games.

All three of those players are back, and according to a report by The Vertical, the Heat will play 11 of 12 games at home during a stretch from March 5-28.

Even if he isn't the same player as he used to be, his return would be a huge boost to a team that could hit its stride down the stretch.
