Lodi News-Sentinel, Calif.

Zoey Bossert was a happy child with a lot of energy and was the typical 7-year-old girl, according to her aunt.

Zoey broke her elbow after taking a fall. After two months, her doctors took x-rays to make sure the joint was healed.

The healing process was progressing normally, but the behavior and attitude of her niece seemed to change.

She was crying a lot and still had some pain, but in the second week of January she was in severe pain. She was crying and screaming. She fell on the ground screaming in pain.

Zoey was taken to UC Davis for an exam. Zoey had more than 100 tumors throughout her body, the largest of which was located in her back and put pressure on her bladder.

Zoey was unable to go to the bathroom because of the tumor.

The doctors said they had never seen a child with this many tumors.

Zoey will have to endure two years of Chemo, twice the amount of time a child normally endures, after she was diagnosed with Hodgkins-Lymphoma cancer.

The orange-sized tumor in her back was removed, and now doctors are working to remove one in her head. She said that the others would have to be eliminated through the treatment.

She has good days and bad days. She was able to get in a wheelchair with the help of braces. She can only do what she can to move around.

Zoey was diagnosed as her father was battling through his own medical trauma.

Seven years ago, the brother of Ricketts was diagnosed with an arteriosclerotic condition that was close to his heart. He passed out in early November after having open-heart surgery and was rushed to a hospital.

He had low sodium levels, which can cause confusion and put someone in a coma. He had a seizure just before he was going to be discharged, which caused a lack of oxygen in the brain. He has been in the intensive care unit ever since he was placed on a ventilator.

Bossert is the main source of income for his family, which includes his wife Lisa and 12-year-old son Alex, so he started a gofundme page in the hopes of raising money to help the family.

As of Thursday, $3,195 had been raised, and the goal was to raise $2,000.

Sara Gasca created a gofundme page with the goal of raising $20,000 to help the family. $7,070 was raised by Thursday.

The staff, students and parents at Zoey's school have been helping as much as they can.

The school made a card for Zoey, and parents have been going up every day to bring her and the family things. They have been really supportive.

Her brother has a 50% chance of complete recovery, but he is still hanging in there. The process will take a long time.

You can donate to either gofundme or Bosserts.
