President Joe Biden said he picked Judge Jackson to be on the Supreme Court.

The party's digital fundraising site, ActBlue, recorded over $1 million in donations after Biden confirmed reports that he would nominate Jackson to the nation's highest court. Jackson would be the first black woman to serve on the bench.

The live donation ticker on ActBlue's website was tracked by CNBC. Jackson was nominated to replace the retiring Justice Stephen Breyer. ActBlue recorded over $100,000 in donations while Biden and Jackson spoke to the nation.

ActBlue is an online platform for Democratic donors to raise money for causes. A spokesman for ActBlue wouldn't say anything.

Jackson's nomination has been promoted by Democratic political groups on their social media platforms. Democrats might be feeling the need to use their financial resources to fight Republican opposition to Jackson's nomination.

Democrats will need a simple majority in the Senate to get Jackson confirmed. Lindsey Graham, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, voted to confirm Jackson as a circuit judge.

The Judicial Crisis Network, a right-leaning dark money group, was already in the process of attacking Democrats and Biden for their eventual Supreme Court nomination. Leonard Leo is an advisor to that organization. The organization doesn't reveal its donors.

Demand Justice immediately promoted Jackson's nomination on its Facebook page, urging people to call their senators to confirm her. A $1 million ad campaign has been announced in support of Jackson's nomination. Paul Ryan praised Jackson in the first ad. Ryan and Jackson are related through marriage. The campaign will run on national and Washington D.C.-based cable channels.

The Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee are two of the party committees that have promoted Jackson on their Facebook pages.

Representatives for the DNC, DSCC and Demand Justice did not return requests for comment on how much they raised since the official announcement of Jackson's nomination.
