The leader in getting hit is Anthony Rizzo, a free agent who played for the Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees. He is 13th all-time after just 11 years in the majors.

In the past year, he has been hit by a pitch 178 times, tying him with Andres Galarraga and two ahead of Alex Rodriguez.

If former Cubs teammate Ian Happ is to be believed, he trains to survive getting hit by a pitch during the off-season in an apparent homage to Happy Gilmore.

Anthony Rizzo was hit in the batting cage by a pitch and re-created a scene from Happy Gilmore.

It is not full speed, but still! Looks bad! Light work is probably what a guy who leads active major leaguers will get.

It is possible for him to make it all the way to the top, but he needs to get hit more than once to pass Hughie. Although he played most of his career before 1900, he took fewer shots in his career than he has in the past. The pitchers must have disliked Hughie.
