U.S. carriers will be giving away free calls to Ukraine on Friday, February 25.
All long-distance fees will be free for calls and texts made to or received from Ukraine. This will last from February 25 to March 10. Business wireless and landline phone customers are included. Roaming charges for calls and texting are being nixed if you are a customer in Ukraine. Customers with international calling plans won't use their minutes to call Ukraine.
T-Mobile will waive long-distance and international roaming charges for calls and text messages sent to or from the U.S. and Ukraine. This applies to both T-Mobile and Sprint customers. This includes calls made to local numbers to cover roaming customers.
UScellular customers will be able to make free calls from the U.S. to Ukraine from February 25 through March 31. No international dialing rates will be applied to these calls. This will be applied to postpaid customers. If you have a plan that allows international calling, you can call customer support to get credits.
