elden ring

As Elden Ring rockets up the charts, amassing some of the most glowing reviews this side of Breath of the Wild, the developers have issued a PSA to let players know that they are working on ironing out some of the day-one issues.

In the PSA, the company said it was working on fixing issues related to mouse over-sensitivity, PC anti-cheat bugs, and frame rate issues that cause the game to stutter at random moments.

There is a game save bug on the PS5.

If the PS5 console is unexpectedly turned off while playing a game or in rest mode, saved data may not be saved correctly. We are aware of the cause of this issue and are working on a patch to correct it, but until the patch is released, please save your game manually by exiting the game regularly.

Elden Ring lacks a pause feature. If a player opens the game menu, the game continues, making them vulnerable to attack while they fiddle with their equipment or inventory. PS5 users might be tempted to use the console's rest mode feature to circumvent the inconvenient pause feature. Saving and quitting manually is the best option for when short breaks are needed.

The company said it was working on other issues but did not say when a patch would be deployed.
