We are taking extensive steps to fight the spread of misinformation, and labelling content from state-controlled media and content that fact checkers have rated false. The cybersecurity teams are closely watching for coordinated attempts to abuse our platform.

On Wednesday night, Meta added a feature for Ukrainian users that would allow them to add extra security to their accounts.

Insider asked Meta how many people were in its special operations center.

Meta has used a specialized team before to respond to a crisis. After the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, it used a group of experts to monitor the group's content.

The main page of the military's website was removed in February 2021. The company said it failed to curb hate speech and misinformation in the country, which led to attacks on the Muslim community.
