According to its foreign minister, the city was hit by rocket strikes on Friday. The city's streets were mostly empty, with air raid sirens.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine provided footage of firefighters on the scene of a building that was struck by a Russian plane.

Zelenskyy said that the situation was the same as it was in 1941. As the world looks to us, we protect our state on our own.
