Caribbean island destinations have relaxed Covid restrictions as they transition to endemic status.
The Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and St. Maarten are included.
The D.R., whose entry regulations have been among the most relaxed for visitors throughout the Pandemic, has now dropped all mask requirements in indoor and outdoor settings.
Effective March 1, visitors to Jamaica will no longer need to obtain travel authorization. If you're over the age of 12 you don't need to provide a test result within 72 hours.
Travelers won't face travel related measures. The isolation period for US travelers who test positive while in Jamaica has been shortened, as well as for travelers who test negative within three days of travel to Jamaica.
We are confident that the refreshed entry requirements will increase the appeal of Jamaica as a destination of choice and help us continue on our path to recovery for the tourism sector and wider economy.
The requirement for proof of a negative test result will be eliminated on March 1.
Travelers who are unvaccinated must provide a negative test result 48 hours prior to their arrival.
Travelers will still need the health authorization form within 72 hours of arrival.
Nightclub hours were extended to 3 a.m. on Feb. 25.
The minister of tourism, economic affairs and transport in St. Maarten said that they were united in restoring their tourism prestige by adapting their processes to meet consumers' expectations and provide an easy travel experience to their beloved island.
