Caris LeVert will be out for one to two weeks with a foot injury.
It is not known when he suffered the injury.
The Indiana Pacers traded LeVert and a second-round pick to the Cleveland Indians for Ricky Rubio and three draft picks. Since the trade, he has appeared in just four games.
He averaged 13.3 points, 1.5 rebound and 3.8 assists in those contests. Through 39 games with the Pacers, he averaged 18.7 points, 3.8 rebound and 4.4 assists while shooting 44.7% from the floor and 32.3% from deep.
After four-and-a-half seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, LeVert has bounced around a bit. The Nets traded him to the Pacers in the 2020-21 campaign, and then flipped him to the Cavaliers this year.
LeVert has battled injuries throughout his six-year career and has appeared in just two games in a season. The 2016 first-round pick hasn't played more than 47 games in a season.
According to the Associated Press, head coach J.B. Bickerstaff is considering putting LeVert in the starting lineup. The two are trying to figure out how he can be most effective in the lineup.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to make the playoffs for the first time since they lost the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors in four games, with a 35-23 record.
