The Green Bay Packers will not be kept waiting for an answer by Rodgers.

Rodgers will inform the Packers of his decision soon, and multiple teams have already made trade offers.

Nothing can happen until the Packers allow it.

Rodgers told reporters that he would take some time and talk to the people around him before making a decision.

Speculation about Rodgers' future picked up on Tuesday when he posted a series of pictures on the social media site with friends and teammates, along with a caption expressing gratitude for many of his Packers teammates.

Rodgers said the post was just meant to express gratitude after he finished a cleanse.

Rodgers didn't have an announcement about his future on the show, but he did say his exit meetings with Packers management after the season ended were much different than they have been in the past.

Green Bay is taking steps to get even with the salary cap.

Kenny Clark restructured his deal to clear $10.8 million in cap space.

The Packers created $3.08 million in cap space by turning a portion of Jones' salary into a signing bonus and two voidable years, according to a report by Field Yates.

Rodgers signed a reworked contract in July that voided the 2023 season and removed forfeiture provisions that prevented the Packers from pursuing portions of his signing bonus.

Rodgers will be entering the final season of his deal in 2022.

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst told reporters on Wednesday that he never promised to trade Rodgers after the 2021 season if he wanted to play for another organization.

Gutekunst doesn't think we're going to go down those roads right now.

Rodgers has been with the Packers for 17 years. He won his fourth career award. He threw for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdown against only four turnovers in 16 starts last season.

The Packers have had the best regular-season record in the league in each of the past two years, but they have lost in the playoffs.
