The widower of Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer who was killed on the set of the movie Rust, accused Alec Baldwin of failing to accept responsibility for the shooting.
Alec Baldwin is in New York City.
Matthew Hutchins said that he was so angry that he watched an interview Baldwin gave in December in which he claimed he did not pull the gun.
Baldwin talked about her death publicly and in such a detailed way that he didn't accept any responsibility for her death.
Hutchins, who filed a wrongful death suit against Baldwin, other Rust crew members and producers last week, said there were multiple responsible parties.
The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd to Hutchins.
Baldwin told George Stephanopoulos that he let go of the hammer and the gun went off. Santa Fe County District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said last week that it is possible for a gun similar to the one that Halyna Hutchins was killed with to discharge without the gun being pulled. Matthew Hutchins claimed that Baldwin and others were responsible for Halyna's death through their reckless conduct and cost-cutting measures.
Alec Baldwin was sued for wrongful death by the family of the victim.
