Did you know that the company also makes phones for the operating system? The second-generation of U.S.-bound handsets from the company is called the TCL 20S. It is one of the most well-rounded devices you can get in this price range.

The display is one of the best parts of the TV. It has a 6.67-inch panel with Full HD+ resolution, and thanks to TCL's custom NXTVISION technology, you're treated to increased sharpness, more vibrant images, and true-to-life colors. The selfie camera has a hole-punch cutout.

One of the most impressive setups on this list is the TCL 20S, which has a Snapdragon 665 processor and 6GB of RAM. The 5,000 mAh battery allows for outstanding endurance, you get an NFC chip for Google Pay support, and the software is clean and fun to use. There are four cameras on the back of the vehicle. There are tradeoffs with any phone at this price point. The lack of 5G support and any official rating for water or dust protection are the most notable exemptions on the 20S.

You wouldn't expect to get a device in the sub-$300 range these days. The affordableNord lineup has made its way to North Americans. 5G is accessible for all thanks to the N200 5G. It doesn't look very impressive, but it has the goods underneath the hood.

The large display of the N200 5G is Full HD+. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate, which makes it look better. The design has an air of grace about it. It may be cheap, but it does not look or feel like the part.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 480 5G with 4GB of RAM. Micro SD can be used to expand the onboard storage. That and the 3.5mm jack are not found in phones anymore. There is a 13MP primary camera on the back of the triple camera setup. The 5,000mAh battery has 18W fast charging support and it has a superb battery life. For very little money, there is a lot to love.

The TCL 20 SE is an interesting device, sitting a step below the better equipped TCL 20S. It is similar to the TCL 20S in more ways than one, but it makes a few cuts to reach an even lower price.

The resolution on the 6.82-inch display is just HD+, which is not as good as Full HD. The screen of the TCL 20 SE is not as sharp or pretty to look at, but it still gets the job done. You also have fast charging support. You will find a processor with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal storage on the hood. If you still need more room, there is a microSD slot for easy expansion.

You get a 3.5mm earphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a power button out of the box. You can use an OTG cable to get reverse charge capabilities. The triple camera setup has a 48MP primary sensor, but the price is still below $200.

  • Large 6.82-inch display
  • Huge 5,000mAh battery
  • Headphone jack & expandable storage
  • Easy-to-use software
  • Display is only HD+
  • Average cameras
  • Not compatible with CDMA networks
