Travelers will no longer have to take a test on day five of their stay in Thailand, as of March 1.

On day five, visitors can take cheaper rapid antigen tests. Travelers don't have to make a hotel reservation to take the day five tests.

Visitors are asked to wait for their results in a hotel on the first day. Visitors must provide proof of pre-payment for their hotel on arrival to enter.

Thailand accepts the UK's Covid Pass as proof of vaccination, but must be shown by over 18s. The vaccine must have been administered before the trip.

Visitors must register with the Thailand Pass before boarding a flight to Thailand.

Arrival at an approved hotel must be free of non-vaccinated arrivals.

The minimum medical insurance coverage for visitors to Thailand was lowered by the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, chaired by Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha.

Since it was reopened for a second time on February 1, the Test & Go programme has cleared 302,000 visitors to enter Thailand.

The number of Covid cases in Thailand rose to 21,232 on Wednesday, a six-month high, but the deaths fell to 39, compared with more than 300 a day during the peak of the Delta wave in August.
