The business was accredited by the University of the Third Age to book holidays for their members.
The operator named on the paperwork will take on packages booked through Northumbria Travel but provided by an external supplier.
Tour operators will be in charge of booking.
Abta will handle claims requiring further information if they are made within six months.
Retail leisure sales were the majority of travel arrangements booked by Northumbria Travel.
The association confirmed that the company ceased trading on February 21, 2022.
Northumbria Travel said on its website that it has exclusive deals with many of the leading cruise lines.
There were several escorted cruises with river and ocean cruise lines.
The website of Northumbria Travel said they had a team of staff with more than 100 years of experience in selling holidays between them.
