Andy Murray
Three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray is currently 89th in the world rankings

Andy Murray was beaten by Jannik Sinner in the second round of the tennis tournament.

The British man was trying to win his 700th career victory but lost to the Italian.

Since the Australian Open in January, Murray has gone out in the second round at four other tournaments.

The Mexican Open first round was dominated by Australian Open champion Rafael Nadal.

Murray claimed a battling first-round victory over Christopher O&Connell on Monday to set up a meeting with Sinner.

The highly rated Sinner won four of the final five games to win the match and take the first set.

At the start of the season, Murray reached the final of the Sydney International, but has since lost in the second round at five other tournaments.

In his first match since winning a record 21st Grand Slam title in Australia, Nadal defeated American Denis Kudla 6-3.

The Spaniard is 2-0 in his matches this year.

There were also wins for world number two and number one.

After losing to Nadal in the Australian Open final, Medvedev beat Paire.

The Russian could take over the top spot if they do well in Acapulco and Dubai.

He will play Spain's Pablo Andujar next.

The winner of the Delray Beach Open will play John Isner in the next round.
