During an interview with Bryant Gumbel for Real Sports, Brian Flores said that he was offered a non-disparagement agreement for millions of dollars after he was fired from the Miami Dolphins.
Flores said that signing the separation agreement would have silenced him.
The class-action lawsuit was filed against the NFL and its teams. According to the lawsuit, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross offered him $100,000 per loss in order to improve the team's draft position.
Ross pressured Flores into recruiting a quarterback which would have violated the NFL's tampering rules.
Ross called the allegations false, malicious and defamatory.
The team released a statement Tuesday that said the allegations werecategorically false.

The Dolphins were on their way to the No. 1 pick, which could have given them the chance to draft Joe Burrow. They finished with a 5-11 record and the 5th pick, which they used to select Tua Tagovailoa.
The Dolphins improved to 10-6 in 2020 and 9-8 in 2021 to finish with back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2002 and 2003 but it wasn't enough to convince the team to bring Flores back.
The Denver Broncos and New York Giants interviewed Flores for their head coaching vacancies in order to satisfy the Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview at least two candidates of color.
The New England head coach sent a text to Flores instead of Brian Daboll, who was hired by the Giants. When Flores received the text message, he had not yet been interviewed by New York.

He told Gumbel that he would be open to a conversation with the coach. Flores was a member of the New England coaching staff.
Flores has been hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach.
