Redick slams Zion for not reaching out to McCollum (1:23)

Redick was upset that Zion didn't reach out to him upon his arrival in New Orleans. The time has been added.

According to Redick, Zion has been absent from the court for all of his time in the NBA because of a foot injury.

There is a responsibility that you have as an athlete when you play a team sport. We have not seen that from Zion.

Before this season, Redick decided to retire and become an NBA analyst, and he was joined by his former teammate, Williamson.

While in New Orleans, Redick voiced his concerns.

Redick said that he addressed the issue with Zion in front of the team.

"This is a pattern of behavior with Zion that we are seeing again and again. I was his teammate, I can describe him as a detached teammate, that is an accurate statement." JJ Redick

During the All-Star festivities this past weekend, it came into public view that New Orleans traded for Williamson, and that he hasn't spoken to his teammate since.

I haven't spoken to him directly. I have spoken with some people close to him and I will get to the bottom of it soon.

A pattern of behavior is what Redick said was behind the silence of Williamson.

This shows a complete lack of investment in your team, in the organization, and in the city. This is a pattern of behavior with Zion that we are seeing again and again. I can say that he was a detached teammate, that is an accurate statement.

He had surgery on his foot in the summer and has not played this season. After initial optimism that he would be back for the start of the season, his return has been delayed several times. According to sources, he is currently working on his rehabilitation away from the team and is in Portland, Oregon, with the blessing of the Pelicans.

He has been a force when he has been healthy. He played in 61 of the team's 72 games last season and averaged 27 points, 7.2 rebound and 3.7 assists.

He has been amazing when he has been on the court. He is amazing to watch. There is no one that can do what he does on a basketball court, but as a teammate, there is a pattern of behavior.
