The Philadelphia 76ers star spoke to Ben Simmons around a week or two before the NBA trade deadline.

I did a lot of chasing around, trying to get him back. It was difficult. I didn't care anymore.

The All-Star center said he could have said a lot of things, but he did what he thought was good for the team.

As Simmons was engaged in his standoff with the 76ers, his feelings toward the 6&11 player changed. He said he was disappointed with the situation during the team's media day and was even harsher a week later.

A picture is worth a lot of words. Immediately after the 76ers traded Simmons to the Nets, Embiid shared a picture on his social media account.

Simmons is a great player who will help the Nets reach another level.

The 7-footer talked about James Harden, who he said was one of the best scorers of all time.

"We can accomplish something big, we already have a great system in place." It takes you to another level when you add James.

Harden has yet to suit up for the Philadelphia 76ers because of a nagging injury.
