A candidate for the US House in Oklahoma apologized after reports that she vomited and berated children at a sleepover.

A democrat named Abby Broyles told a television station that she had an adverse reaction after drinking wine and taking sleep medication.

I hallucinated and didn't remember anything until I woke up.

She said she was invited to the slumber party by a good friend from law school who was the mother of one of the girls.

The parents and one of the girls who were at the party told the online news outlet NonDoc that the boy used profanity and berated several of the girls at the party.

Sarah Matthews, the parent of one of the girls, was upset that the boys didn't apologize.

I am disgusted by your behavior and find it appalling that you couldn't understand why their parents were angry.

After initially denying to NonDoc that she had attended the party, she apologized last week during an interview with KFOR, a news channel for which she used to work.

I apologize from the bottom of my heart for any hurt or trauma that I caused, when I didn't know what I was doing.

In a statement provided to The Associated Press on Tuesday, she said she has no plans to drop out of the race.

The things I am accused of saying are not who I am. They are not a reflection of my beliefs.

The Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate from Oklahoma in 2020 was going to run against Bice in the 5th Congressional District.
