The industry view has shifted since most around MLB had expected free-agent first baseman Freddie Freeman to return to the Atlanta Braves.

There has been a reported stand off in negotiations with the Braves offering more money than the Braves wanted. It could cause the 32-year-old to land somewhere outside of Atlanta.

An official told Olney that the Braves will move quickly to settle on an alternative and move on to get past the conversation.

Both sides could look for new options when the season ends, since teams are unable to sign free agents.
