It is great to see airline loyalty programs team up with other companies to offer perks and points. We learned last week that Delta SkyMiles is partnering with a delivery service. SkyMiles members can earn miles for grocery deliveries, while SkyMiles elite members can receive a complimentary premium membership.
SkyMiles members can link their accounts to start taking advantage of benefits now that the partnership is live.
SkyMiles can now be earned for purchases with Instacart thanks to a new partnership. Delta SkyMiles members who link their account can make money.
I value Delta SkyMiles at 1.1 cents each, so to me that's like anIncremental 1.1-1.65% return on spending. It's not a game-changer, but it's better than nothing, and something that Instacart users might as well take advantage of.
Delta SkyMiles Medallion elite members can also receive a free trial to Instacart Express, which allows them to earn miles for purchases.
For those who don't know, Instacart Express is the premium membership that provides free delivery on orders over $35, plus other savings benefits. If you don't want to keep your membership, you'll want to cancel before it's auto renewed.
A new partnership has been launched by Delta SkyMiles. SkyMiles members can earn 1.5x miles per dollar spent with Instacart, and Medallion elite members can take advantage of a free trial.
This partnership is different because it is outside of the travel space. I guess the logic is that road warriors are away from home a lot and might have a greater appreciation for having their groceries delivered due to lack of time at home.
Will you take advantage of this partnership?
