Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury has not fought in the UK since August 2018

Hours before the deadline, Dillian Whyte signed a contract to fight Tyson Fury.

He had until Tuesday to sign but had spent the weekend and Monday working on the deal.

The fight that is expected to take place on April 23 at Wembley Stadium is being reacted to on social media by Tyson Fury.

He said that he was surprised that Dillian Whyte signed his contract for $8 million.

An absolute idiot was added by Fury. Is this even a talking point? The man is going to get the biggest paycheck of his life.

There is still one outstanding issue that needs to be resolved before an official announcement can be made.

Fury v Whyte: How did we get here?

The number-one ranked contender has been waiting years for a shot at the world title and is the mandatory challenger to the title.

Queensberry promotions won the purse bids in January with a $41 million bid, beating Eddie Hearn who was the only other bidder.

The purse is expected to be around 20 million dollars, with the remaining 20% going to the boxer.

The biggest paycheck of his career will come from the purse bid, which will be the biggest of his career to date. There is more than one million dollars on offer for the winner.

Since August of last year, when he beat Pianeta in the US, he has not fought in the UK.

He has two defeats on his record in the UK. TheGypsy King poked fun at the idea that his decision to delay signing his contract was an attempt to unsettle Fury.

He said his head hurts from all the mind games Dillian has been playing on him. Oh my god. I don't know if I'm going or not, my training camp is a mess.

The British Boxing Board of Control will need to grant a boxing licence to the man who has 31 wins and one draw in his pro career.

The fight could be announced at a press conference as early as Wednesday. Wembley Stadium is a clear favourite to host the bout, although the 80,000-seater Principality Stadium is still an option.
