Jule Brand is a player England will not want to face in their final match of the Arnold Clark Cup on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old has become one of Europe's most exciting prospects, having impressed for club and country over the past year.
After scoring and assisting a goal within the first five minutes of her international debut, she went on to score and set up a goal in Hoffenheim's first win of the season, a 4-1 victory over Arsenal.
Brand has come a long way since playing football in the garden with her older brother, and is now eyeing a place in Germany's squad for this summer's European Championship in England.
Brand was on the world stage.
She came on as a substitute and scored two minutes later and then set up another in the 65th minute.
She told the radio station that she didn't think she would play the game. Some players got Covid that morning. I didn't think I'd get the chance and then it happened so fast.
I remember standing on the pitch and seeing my number go on. I ran, ran and ran in the game. I scored a goal that I couldn't believe, but it was a very good feeling.
Brand was not well known outside of her homeland. She was playing in the second tier of German football less than a year ago, and she said nobody had expectations.
She said you could do what you wanted. You are young and it is okay.
Expectations are higher now. It was difficult for me to understand that. I didn't want to make mistakes and had to do well.
It was hard, but I am better with it now.
Brand's performances for Hoffenheim earned her further call-ups to the national team, and those expectations rose when she featured regularly in the European competition.
She has scored four goals in 12 appearances for her country.
It was very special to play in the league. She said that playing with Hoffenheim in the European Championship was something she never thought she could do.
It was a dream. We played against some of the best teams. You could see how good other players are.
The English players are very strong, and the team as a whole was too. They are fast.
It will be a high-intensity match against England. Both teams want to create a game.
After four years with Hoffenheim, Brand will join Wolfsburg.
Brand is not only one of the biggest and therefore most sought-after talents in Germany, but internationally too, according to the announcement of her signing by the sporting director.
"Her speed and individual attacking qualities make her an extreme goal threat, even at such a young age," he told the club's website.
Brand said that the move to Wolfsburg was the perfect step for her development, despite reports of interest from clubs in England and Spain.
She wants to become better as a player and learn more. One day, maybe I want to play in another country, her ambitions at club level include winning the Champions League.
Brand teased that she might move to England one day.
She wants to go to the Euros with Germany in the next few months.
I think it is a dream of every girl to play in a big tournament like that. She said it would be great if she could be a part of the team.
I want to be a part of the team. I would like to play more at tournaments.
