The person of interest was seen by the sheriff's office twice, but they both ran away. Springer said the Coveys were well-known in the region because of their long residency. She said that Dave and Geralyn Covey came from Dickinson, North Dakota. She said Geralyn Covey worked at Washington Tractor for many years, and Dave Covey worked at the Okanogan County maintenance shop. Springer introduced Geralyn Covey to her father. She said they were married for 25 years. Springer said her father worked on cars and raced them. She said he gave a car to a friend who needed it. She said that they would help anyone. I want them to be remembered for their hard work and how generous they were. Springer said people will remember them for their humor. She said that they loved a good joke. Springer said a son of Geralyn Covey is taking care of three dogs, one of which has a broken leg. The person who fled the property is believed to be armed and dangerous, and that he was last seen wearing an older green camouflage jacket and dark pants.
