Scott County Detention Center arrest records show that the mother was arrested in Georgetown, Kentucky, on Saturday evening.

Georgetown Police responded to a report of an unwanted person at a gas station.

Police are investigating the case of an Indiana mom accused of abandoning her child.

The woman in question provided a fake name to the police when they arrived, as she began acting strangely.

Georgetown Police said they were able to identify the woman as Heather Nicole Adkins after checking her social security number.

Arrest records show that he was booked into the Scott County Detention Center.

Police said that after running social security, they found an outstanding warrant for her arrest in Kentucky for failing to pay a fine.

Colerain Police did not file charges against Adkins at the time of his arrest, according to Georgetown Police. The Georgetown department was made aware of the other charges after media personnel contacted them, according to an officer.

Colerain Police said that the two departments confirmed that the arrest was the same one that Heather Nicole Adkins was charged for abandoning her five-year-old.

Colerain Police said a driver called to report a boy walking alone at the corner of Sheed Road and Gaines Road.

Police determined that the child was left in Colerain Township by his mother after she drove him 75 miles from Indiana. The child was found by the driver an hour later.
